[Butterscotch] Frosting

"Good on pumpkin cookies."--Mama Mouse
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons cream or canned milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
powdered sugar [amount not given, try 1-1/2 to 2 cups]

Stir brown sugar, butter, cream and vanilla over low heat until butter has melted; remove and cool. Add powdered sugar until thick enough to spread.
